Conduct council meetings discussing industry issues and setting up broad agenda for representations

Conduct masterclass/training session discussing various strategies, tax and regulatory issues and highlighting success factors of other global funds

Stay continuously engaged with the Ministry of Finance/RBI/SEBI on issues related to tax, additional buffers regarding risk management and compliance and the improvement of the investment climate for CAT III funds.

Promote sustainable investments: Encourage both domestic and foreign investments, particularly from the global North, to help India move towards its net-zero target.

Deepen regulatory engagement: Engage with government bodies, policymakers, and stakeholders to create an enabling environment for sustainable investments.

Help build standards and skills: Work closely with industry to develop standards and skills for integrating climate and sustainability criteria into investment strategies.

Position AIF Credit Funds as pivotal for Fixed Income Market Development through strategic communication with regulators and the Ministry of Finance.

Advocate for and raise awareness about the significance of private credit funds, promoting their distinct ecosystem.

Identify regulatory barriers and propose reforms.

Work with regulators to streamline regulations and processes, allowing private credit funds to operate with greater ease when investing across the alternative investment spectrum in India.

Engage proactively to identify and address regulatory impediments hindering global and domestic fund investments in private credit strategies in India. Propose necessary reforms to relevant authorities to facilitate industry growth.

Investor Engagement Plan: Develop an engagement plan to build awareness and create forums for education.

The Council will identify impediments if any which inhibit the growth of global fund investments in India

Help bring about the needed reforms in for global funds to operate with ease for India Investments

Provide guidance for the preparation of representations or reports as may be considered necessary by the Council

Organise meetings, including meetings with regulators, and specific events to promote Indian PE VC asset class to global audience

Provide a platform for senior infrastructure professionals to meet

Identify reforms needed which will enable the healthy functioning of the infrastructure private equity asset classes in India

Guide and advise the preparation of representations to various Government and regulatory bodies

Organise meetings, including meetings with regulators, and events to promote the asset class

Any other purpose as may be decided by the Council from time to time to further the infrastructure and real estate asset classes in India

Create a formal forum for India focused LP’s/ advisors/ consultants/ gatekeepers and other key stakeholders to discuss common issues

Commission research projects, reports and publications as required for the benefit of the LP ecosystem

Provide a platform for global LPs to interact with Indian regulators and policymakers

Conduct roundtables and training sessions for current and potential LPs to help increase India allocations

Engage with domestic and foreign LPs, Family Offices regularly to promote Indian Alternate Capital ecosystem and enabling LP-GP discussions/ networking
