Yachna brings to the table a comprehensive blend of education and professional expertise required for the startup and venture capital ecosystem. Over the years, she has developed a versatile skill set and a profound understanding of the ecosystem by working with the VC firms and a diverse portfolio of early-stage start-ups across multiple sectors. At IVCA, Yachna manages all the engagement initiatives with the VC ecosystem stakeholders and supports government interactions by collaborating with Startup India, Invest India, DPIIT, and other Government bodies and ministries on VC related issues. Her efforts also include boosting domestic pools of capital for the Indian Alternative asset ecosystem. Additionally, she is also responsible for building Knowledge Series & Masterclasses for VCs at different levels on themes like governance, angel investing, sector-focussed domains, etc. In her last stint where she acted as a Portfolio Manager to the early stage startups, she provided strategic guidance on critical areas such as Go-To-Market strategy, Product-Market Fit, landing strategic partnerships, employer branding, fundraising initiatives, and regulatory compliances. Additionally, she also played a key role in developing entrepreneurial capacity-building programs and fostering strong stakeholder relationships with government and private entities. She is inquisitive and understands things from the first principles approach. Yachna has her MBA (read - alternative to traditional MBA) from the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women and is a graduate in Commerce with honours in Accounting and Finance. Learning from her previous stints, she likes to diversify her investments as well as time. Apart from talking about startups and investments, she enjoys travelling solo to mountains and making new stories!
